Mercedes-Benz Vans are urging that all van drivers within the UK, check up on the facts that surround Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) requirements, before going out on the roads!

A deadline has been set for all drivers that are operating a LGV that is over 3.5 tonnes to have completed their Driver CPC training. This is a legal 35 hours of training every five years, which was Wednesday 10/2014.

Mercedes-Benz UK runs approved Driver CPC training courses, this is to help ensure that van drivers are recognised for the important part they play in keeping the UK mobile!

The courses available are designed to offer important guidance through interactive and varied classroom based and in-vehicle training, including a wide range of optional topics, which covers a varied amount of areas including, load securing, driving safety, economical driving, road risk and road safety.

Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle Dealer Road Rage provides specialised training and the opportunity for participants to familiarise themselves alongside other teams at the Centre, such as Iceland, who are training Store Managers in their accountability for driver safety.

So, if you haven’t already done so ensure that you have checked your Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) requirements, before going out on the roads!
